School Saving Bonus (SSB)
The Victorian Government is delivering the School Saving Bonus – a one-off $400 support for government school students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025.
The School Saving Bonus will help families cover the cost of uniforms, textbooks, excursions, activities and more.
Between Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th November 2024, the first named parent in the primary family will receive an email from the Department of Education with a unique $400 School Saving Bonus code.
If you have multiple children enrolled in Victorian government schools for 2025, a School Saving Bonus code email will be received per child.
Parents will be required to log in to the SSB Portal, where you can make your spending selections, view vouchers and look back on your transaction history. See this link for the Parent/Carer SSB System User Guide.
The funds can be utilised in the following ways;
IN-STORE PURCHASES– PSW and/or Campion – you will receive a code (written and QR), which can be taken to the retail premises.
ON-LINE PURCHASES – PSW and/or Campion – you will receive a code (on screen and via email) to use during your shopping cart payment process.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES – BHS – you can choose to allocate funds to cover BHS school activity costs, e.g. camps, excursions, music.
A few notes and reminders
- Online vouchers are available in $50 increments
- Parents may need to pay extra to cover their full purchase cost
- A voucher can be used more than once, until fully expended
- All vouchers expire on 30 June 2025
- Funds for school activities may take 48 hours to be received by BHS
- All unspent funds as at 30 June 2025 will revert to BHS Family Statement for future use
- The portal can show In-Store Transaction History and View Allocated Codes
- All items on BHS Campion Booklists can be covered by SSB (this may be different at Primary Schools – as stationery packs are not covered)
- Digital devices such as laptops cannot be purchased using SSB funds.
